All versions of the iPod Touch should work just fine, however the 8 gig version does not support a microphone. This is not an issue now, but we may possibly add the ability to join our voice groups, in which case you would not be able to talk in the group.
If you are considering buying an iPod Touch for the express purpose of being on PalTalk you may want to consider the 32gig or 64gig versions as they do support a microphone on their external headphones.
